One hundred years ago, the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) was created as a direct response to a transboundary animal disease outbreak.

Ever since, we have evolved with society and our Members’ needs to advocate for animal health and welfare in global discussions. A century later, WOAH has seen spectacular achievements, yet humbling challenges still lie ahead. Now, more than ever, it is vital to highlight the critical role of the veterinary workforce in the global health agenda. After all, animal health is our health; it is everyone’s health.
