Simulation exercise: Diseases affecting hydrobiological resources in Peru

Dr. Eva Luz Martínez Bermúdez, Delegate to WOAH and Director General of the Directorate of Animal Health of the National Agricultural Health Service of Peru (SENASA), informed WOAH that the National Agency for Fisheries Health (SANIPES) will conduct a cabinet simulation exercise. The exercise, called “Simulation: Implementation, development and verification of sanitary emergency plans for diseases affecting hydrobiological resources”, will take place on 13 and 14 October 2022 in the city of Lima.

The objective of this activity is to strengthen the technical capacities of the different areas of SANIPES in the event of a potential introduction of pathogens affecting hydrobiological resources.

This simulation exercise is aimed at SANIPES professionals.
