Towards a healthier future for all: Progress in animal health to contain AMR

While antibiotics remain generally effective to treat infectious diseases in animals today, a future rise in resistance levels in pathogens of veterinary importance would
threaten the health and welfare of animals and those who rely upon them for their livelihoods.

This report explores how the animal health sector has approached the AMR challenge in recent decades, with a focus on actions since the 2016 Political Declaration. The report also highlights significant successes and progress made worldwide and emphasises the need for more action, investment and collaboration.
