Simulation Exercise: Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza and African Swine Fever in the Czech Republic

Dr. Zbynek Semerad, Director General of the State Veterinary Administration of the Czech Republic, Prague, informed the OIE that a simulation exercise on highly pathogenic avian influenza and African swine fever will take place in the Military Training Area Libavá, Olomouc Region, Czech Republic, from 30 August to 1 September 2021.
This simulation exercise will include both theoretical and practical training of employees of the Central and Regional Veterinary Administration in co-operation with the Veterinary Military Service of the Army of the Czech Republic. The aim of this exercise is to apply emergency measures in compliance with contingency plans for highly pathogenic avian influenza and African swine fever.
