Guidelines on the establishment, management and self-declaration of Equine Disease-Free Zone (EDFZ)

The establishment of an EDFZ can be a complex process which requires strong government, industry and resource support, accompanied by high level business planning.

These guidelines aim at providing a structured approach to support Members Countries in establishing an EDFZ, applying for the publication of a self-declaration of an EDFZ and implementing control of movements through specific Veterinary Certificates.
