Equine encephalomyelitis (Eastern and Western)
General provisions

Recommendations for the importation of equines
Veterinary Authorities of importing countries should require the presentation of an international veterinary certificate attesting that the animals:
showed no clinical sign of equine encephalomyelitis on the day of shipment and during the three months prior to shipment;
were kept for the three months prior to shipment in an establishment where no case of equine encephalomyelitis was officially reported during that period; or
were kept in a quarantine station for the 21 days prior to shipment and were protected from insect vectors during quarantine and transportation to the place of shipment; or
were vaccinated not less than 15 days and not more than one year prior to shipment.
